We are really coming to the end of another NFL season. Although we have the playoffs ahead it does make us sad that we only have two weeks left. In this case, you need to keep a close eye out on the lines. Are teams packing it in for the season? Are they sinking for a better pick in next year’s draft? These are the things we will take a look at.
We had an average week last week but there is something to note. The Monday night game in New Orleans was one of those perfect storms where you could go really heavy on a game. New Orleans is in the hunt and looking for the win, at home, Brees is about to set a HUGE NFL record and the Colts were pretty much eliminated from the playoffs. You can’t believe the hype you here by the talking heads about this and that. Go with your gut. We took the Saints at FanDuel and it was over in the first quarter. There is nothing better than that.
Some Interesting Stats from Week 15
- Lamar Jackson is a special football player crossing 1,103 yards rushing for a single-season record.
- The Patriots playoff streak continues with 11 times in a row.
- Saquan Barkley produced back to back 1000+ yard seasons.
- The Cowboys scored the most amount of points in a game since 2014.
- Drew Brees now has the most career TD passes – 541 Touchdowns.
There were plenty of amazing facts about last week. In the case of football, it’s now history. We need to shift our focus to this week’s picks. We have a lot of picks this week so get ready to make the right moves. Now that college football is over until bowl games really start kicking in, we do have some Saturday picks as well as Sunday. Are the Saturday games a factor? This is the question we are hoping to answer.
Buffalo Bills @ New England Patriots
We’ve gone against the Bills too many times this year and it hasn’t worked in our favor. Although this game has a lot of ramifications, do the Bills have enough to keep it close. We think so. Their defense is playing very well. The Patriots struggled early against the Bengals but in the end, their defense stepped it up. We still like the Bills on the road getting 6.5.
Updated – The Bills had this one but the Patriots know how to beat the haters.
Los Angeles Rams @ San Francisco 49ers
The Rams got spit out by the Cowboys last week and it appears they have packed it in. Meanwhile, the 49ers still have some things to play for. We expect them to have a bounce-back game especially after the way they lost last week. They still carry momentum into the playoffs but this is one game that could determine all the seeds. We are taking the 49ers -6.5.
Updated – This didn’t work out as well.
Cincinnati Bengals @ Miami Dolphins
This is one game that won’t be watched unless you have some fantasy players or of course a bet. Two terrible teams going at it in Miami. At least it should be warm for these two teams. We think the Dolphins keep their play up and give the Bengals another loss. Plus they want the guaranteed number one pick next year. We think Miami beats them bad. We are taking the Dolphins -1.
Updated – This was a strong bet that got interesting.
Jacksonville Jaguars @ Atlanta Falcons
We think Atlanta keeps its game style activated. Meanwhile, the Jaguars will continue their fall. Although this has the makings of a high scoring game we feel like it will stay low. We are taking the Falcons at home -7.
Updated – This game went in our favor early.
New York Giants @ Washington Redskins
Another meaningless game other than for Eli Manning. Eli has the Redskins number for sure and we think he gets the Giants a win on the road. The Redskins should try and lose this game to keep their top 4 draft position intact. Dan Snyder is already thinking about that. His fans are pissed and he’ll need another offseason championship to bring them back again while letting them down after week one in the 2020 season. Take the Giants on the road +2.5.
Updated – As predicted. This could have been a heavy bet.
Arizona Cardinals @ Seattle Seahawks
There isn’t much to say here other than the Seahawks need a win and the Cardinals don’t. However, we think the Cardinals put up some points in this one to help with the over. It’s a bit high but that is okay. We will take over 51 in this one.
Updated – A game of opposites in this one. Seattle isn’t looking fresh.
Dallas Cowboys @ Philadelphia Eagles
What to make of the NFC East? The winner of the division could have a breakeven record. This is the game of the week and although the Birds are at home with a little bit of momentum, the Cowboys will come to play. The Cowboys are giving the Eagles 2.5 at home. We think it could come down to a last-minute drive, which the books think will happen. We think the Cowboys win, but we have to take the points at home. We are taking the Eagles +2.5.
Updated – The Eagles looked like the better team in this one
Green Bay Packers @ Minnesota Vikings
Why should we go against the Packers this late in the season, we aren’t. No way do we want to touch this battle. There is too much at stake and it is one of those games you want to watch just watch. It’s not important to have money on this one. That being said, we will take the over in this one. We think the offenses explode in the dome. We are looking to take over 45.
WOW – This is our biggest slate of the year. Always remember to check for key injuries and weather as we get closer to the games. Also, remember there are three games on Saturday so keep that in mind. Big battles should settle the playoff picture so be ready for some great football. Also, we are working with DraftKings to bring you some great sign-up bonuses. Be sure to check them out on PerkyBets. We are always here to help you.
