We’ve come to week four of the NFL season and there are plenty of games to think about this upcoming week. We had a decent record last week so we are hoping our picks continue on the positive side. A lot of fresh faces at QB played last week and some faired better than others. We are taking at least one rookie this week. Stay Tuned!
Home teams took 9 of the games last week while the visitors took in 7. This is showing that the home team factor hasn’t been proving itself strong through the first few weeks. This is straight-up and not dealing with the spread.
Some Interesting Facts After Week Three
- The Bills are one of the three teams that are undefeated in the AFC
- Aaron Rodgers is 13-2-1 in the past 16 games at home. – Take the Pack
- Chiefs have now scored 25 or more points in the past 24 straight.
- A rookie QB wins on the road for the New York Giants.
- The Saints can do it without Brees. The first win without Brees as a starter since 2005.
Cleveland Browns @ Baltimore Ravens
The Ravens are playing some good football and although they are coming off a loss last week, we feel like they get back on pace with a big win over AFC North rival Cleveland Browns. Although – 7 seems like a lot, we like it. Take the Ravens at home.
Updated – I guess the Browns were due. Maybe they are for real.
Los Angeles Chargers @ Miami Dolphins
Is this the week the Dolphins pull out a win. NO. The spread is fairly big for the Chargers but they know how to put up points. The team that doesn’t know how to put up points are the Dolphins. Until the Dolphins prove otherwise we are taking the opponent almost every time. We like the Chargers on the Road at -15.
Updated – Until the Dolphins show anything we will continue to go against.
Washington Redskins @ New York Giants
Will this be a second game slump for Daniel Jones this week? We don’t think so. We like the home Giants even without Saquan Barkley. The Redskins can put up points and are looking for their first win but they still look terrible. There isn’t anything positive in Washington this year. Look for them to maybe get 2-4 wins this year. We are taking the Giants at -3
Updated – The Redskins are bad – Easy Lock.
Kansas City Chiefs @ Detroit Lions
Although the Lions look pretty good this year we still think the Chiefs are the team to beat in the AFC. Coming into week four with a perfect record against the spread, you just can’t go against them. Even at -6.5 road favorites, they will put up a lot more points than the Lions in this one.
Updated – The game of the week proved to be an eye-opener for the Chiefs. I guess this was a lot of points on the road.
Dallas Cowboys @ New Orleans Saints
Are the Cowboys the real thing this year? Maybe. They will most likely win the NFC East without much issue but they are traveling to New Orleans where they are the favorites. Giving the Saints points at home has to be some kind of trick. We know Brees isn’t playing but their defense is committed until he gets back. We are taking the Saints at home +2.5.
Updated – We loved the Saints getting points at home. Our Number one pick came through.
